15  | 十九年，晉車騎桓沖率眾十萬寇襄陽，遣其前將軍劉波攻沔北。堅大怒，遣其子征南鉅鹿公睿、冠軍慕容垂、左衛毛當等將步卒五萬救襄陽。堅下書曰：「吳人敢恃江山，屢寇王境，宜時進討，以清宇內。便可戒嚴，速修戎備，發州民，則十丁遣一，兵居門在灼然者，為崇文義從。朕將登會稽，復禹績，伐國存君，義同三王。其以司馬昌明為左僕射，謝安為吏部尚書，桓沖為侍郎，勢還不遠，可並為起第。」八月戊午，遣征南大將軍陽平公融、騎從張蠔、撫軍大將軍高陽公苻方、衛軍梁成、平南慕容暐、冠軍慕容垂，步騎二十五萬為前鋒。甲子，堅發長安，戎長戎卒六十餘萬，騎二十七萬，前後千里。九月，堅至項城，涼州之兵始達咸陽。蜀漢之軍，順流而下。幽冀之眾，至於彭城，東西萬里，水陸齊進。融等攻壽春，晉遣都督謝石、徐州刺史謝玄、豫州刺史桓伊、水陸七萬，敗堅於肥水。堅為流矢所中，單騎遁還於淮北，顧謂夫人張氏曰：「朕若用朝臣之言，豈見今日之事邪，當何面目復臨天下乎！」潸然流涕。 |
