66  | 《新論》桓譚曰：余為新論術，辨古今亦欲興治也，何異《春秋》褒貶耶？今存疑者，所謂蚌異蛤二五為非十也，譚見劉向《新序》、陸賈《新語》乃為新論。莊周寓言，乃云堯問孔子，淮南子》云共工爭帝地維，絶亦昏為妄作，故世人多云短書不可用。然論天間莫明於聖人，莊周等雖虛誕，故當採其善，何云盡棄耶？素相世間為文者衆矣。是非不分，然否不定，桓君山論之，可謂得實矣。論文以察實，則君山，漢之賢人也。孔子不王素王之業在於《春秋》，然則桓君、山素、丞相之跡存於新論者也，孔子之《春秋》，素王之業也，諸子之傳書，素相之事也。觀《春秋》以見王意，讀諸子以睹相指。說論為甲新論論世間事，辯照然否虛妄之言，偽飾之辭，莫不證定。彼子長子，雲說論之，徒君山為甲、董仲舒之言，道德政治可嘉美也。質定世事，論說世疑，桓君山莫上也。桓譚《新論華譚又有《新論》。楊雄有《太𤣥經》，楊泉有《太𤣥經》。 |
