88  | 隋文帝仁壽二年，州帥阮佛子據越王城作亂，兄子大權據龍編。文帝以方為行軍總管，以討佛子。佛子懼，請降。焬帝大業中，以林邑反，帝改日南為驩州，以方為驩州道行軍總管，以討林邑。方軍至闍梨江，林邑兵皆騎巨象，四面而至。方乃多掘小坑，草覆其上，既戰偽北，林邑逐之，象多陷死，因以鋭師繼之，林邑大敗，俘馘萬計。方追之，屢戰皆捷，過馬援銅柱南，八日至其國都，林邑王梵志棄城遁，方入城，獲廟主十八，皆鑄金為之。方刻石紀功而還，道病卒。 |
