| 40 | 張瑛，字子玉，順德府邢台縣人。洪武丙子鄉舉，授陝西寧州訓導，調武德衛，再調宿遷縣。永樂戊子，秩滿九載，特擢吏科給事中。宣宗皇帝時為皇太孫，始親學，遴選儒臣，俾司伴讀，瑛與焉。仁宗皇帝踐祚，陞春坊中允。未幾，陞諭德，尋改洗馬。宣宗皇帝繼統之初，錄瑛舊勞，升行在禮部右侍郎。宣德改元，遷左侍郎兼華葢殿大學士，入與內閣機務。丁未，升尚書，仍兼職。預修成祖、仁宗皇帝實錄》，為總裁官。既而調南京禮部。甲寅，丁外艱，詔復起之，賜御製詩十餘軸、楮萬緡。年六十有二，卒。訃聞，遣官葬祭瑛儀觀。魁梧持己莊重，剔歷兩京，無所建白，文章政事皆非所長云。 |
