2  | 太祖建隆元年二月乙亥，尊母杜氏為皇太后。太后定州安喜人，治家嚴而有法，生五子曰，匡濟、匡胤、光義、光美、匡贊，匡濟、匡贊早卒。陳橋之變，后聞之曰「吾兒素有大志，今果然矣」及尊為皇太后，帝拜於殿上，太后愀然不樂。左右進曰「臣聞母以子貴，今子為天子，胡為不樂」太后曰「吾聞為君難，天子置身兆庶之上，若治得其道，則此位可尊。苟或失馭，求為匹夫不可得，所以憂也」帝再拜曰「謹受教」 |
