3  | 崇禎末，擢僉都御史，丁艱家居。李白成陷南陽，永茂與前布政使賀自鏡攜家避寇，南奔襄陽。時左良玉、劉洪起兵各數萬，沿漢屯聚，暴掠不戢。自鏡女年將及笄，洪起強委禽，女不肯屈，投漢水死。永茂乃帥南陽避寇眾數千人，團聚自固，泛舟漢江，號「南陽幫」，兵不敢犯。弘光立，永茂服闋，詣闕見，仍以僉都御史巡撫南贛。汀州賊閻、王豬婆營據簾子洞，寇掠汀、贛。永茂會福建巡撫張肯堂討平之。 |
