寇準，大中祥符七年六月，自兵部尚書除檢校太尉、同中書門下平章事，充使。八年四月，罷為武勝軍節度使、同平章事。

大中祥符八年乙卯四月壬戌，王欽若、陳堯叟並樞相。欽若與堯叟自祥符五年九月並同平章事，充樞密使，後與堯叟同罷，至是復與堯叟並命。

七月戊午，王嗣宗罷樞密副使。嗣宗自大中祥符七年七月除樞密副使，至是年七月罷，在樞符踰年。嗣宗表求外郡，故有是命。後上章求退，而猶欲領郡。寇準為相，惡之，即以為左屯衛上將軍，致仕，卒年七十八歲，贈侍中，謚景莊。大中祥符九年正月丙辰，張樞密副使。，開封人，事真宗於潛邸，及即位，以殿前都虞候從祀東封。是時盛興宮室，人皆爭奉符瑞，丁謂、王欽若主其事，無敢議者，毅然謂土木之役不足以承天意。是年正月，遂有此除。八月甲申，陳堯叟罷樞相。堯叟自大中祥符八年四月復為同平章事、充樞密使，至是年罷，再執政踰年。久疾求領外任，上遣ト門使楊崇勛至第撫慰，且詢其意，堯叟辭意懇確，乃從之。命其子齎告牒，就第賜之，尋命判河陽，月給實俸，歲賜公使錢百萬。堯叟力疾求入辭，肩輿至便殿。詔勿拜，賜坐，又作詩餞其行。卒，贈侍中，謚文忠。堯叟偉姿貌強力，奏對明辯，多任智數，久典機密，軍馬之籍悉能記之。父省華，終左諫議大夫。母馮氏，性嚴毅。弟堯佐，景祐四年拜同中書門下平章事；堯咨，舉進士第一，後以儒臣易武守，仕至武信軍節度使。
