天祐元年正月，柳璨同平章事。舊傳：「崔胤得罪前一日，召璨入內殿草制敕，出死之日，既夕，璨自內出，前驅傳呼相公來人，未見制敕，莫測所以」。新傳曰：「崔胤死，昭宗宻許璨相，外無知者。日暮，自禁中出，傳呼宰相，人大驚」。按胤未死，璨已除平章事。新、舊傳云胤死後，誤也。

昭宣帝天祐二年八月己亥，全忠擊趙匡凝。梁太祖實錄、薛居正五代史梁紀皆云：七月庚午，遣楊師厚率前軍討趙疑於襄州。辛未，帝南征」。唐實錄：「七月，全忠奏匡凝擅通好西川、淮南，又遣弟專領荊南，請削奪官爵，已遣都將楊師厚討之。翌日，全忠自帥軍以進」。編遺錄：「八月壬辰，先抽武寧楊師厚，是日到，乃議伐襄州帥趙匡凝。乙未，大發車徒，委楊師厚總其軍政。己亥，上領親從歩騎繼大軍之後，是夜宿尉氏」。今從之。薛史：「太祖將圖禪代，以匡凝兄弟並據藩鎮，乃遣使先諭㫖焉。凝對使者流涕，荅以受國恩深，豈敢隨時妄有他志！使者復命，太祖大怒。天祐二年秋七月，遣楊師厚率師討之。辛未，全忠南征，表匡凝罪狀，請削官爵」。按全忠刼遷昭宗於洛陽，匡凝與行宻等移檄諸道共討之，全忠安肯以禪代問之！今不取。
