光化元年正月，韓建為修宮闕使，實錄：建以行宮卑痺，無眺覽之所，表獻城南別墅。建初修南莊，起樓觀，疏池沼，欲為南內行廢立之事，其叔父豐見其䟦扈，謂建曰：「汝陳、許間一民，乗時危亂，位至方鎮，不能感君父之恵，而欲以同、華兩州百里之地行廢立覆族，在旦暮矣。吾不如先自裁免，為汝所累。由是建稍弭其志。及李茂貞表請助營宮苑，又聞朱全忠繕治洛陽，累表迎駕，建懼，故急營葺長安，率諸道助役，而又親程功焉」。按建若欲廢立，何必先營南內！今不取。
