5  | 司馬光，字君實，夏縣人。以父䕃入官。年二十，登寶元初進士。龎籍薦，除館閣校理。英宗朝，進龍圖閣直學士。神宗朝，加資政殿學士，退居洛陽凡十五年，田夫野老皆知為司馬相公，自稱迂叟，著《迂書》四十一篇。元祐元年，拜尚書左僕射。是年九月薨，年六十八，賜諡文正。光歴事四朝，公忠直亮，不顧時忌。徽宗初，蔡京議光入《奸黨碑》，令石工安民鐫字，辭曰：「民愚不知立碑之意，但如司馬相公謂之奸邪，民不忍刻也」。怒欲加罪，泣曰：「被役不敢辭，乞免鐫安民二字於石末，恐得罪於後世」。聞者愧之。建炎中，配饗哲宗廟，文集八十卷，自為編次以授子康。康歿，晁以道得而藏之，中更禁錮。南渡後，謝克家、劉嶠始鏤版以傳焉。重經車輞谷。 |
