明宗第二子從璟為元行欽所殺。天成三年六月追贈太保，未封王。第三子從榮，秦王；長興元年八月封，至四年十一月謀逆伏誅，追削為庶人。清泰元年十二月勅：「故庶人從榮，獲罪先帝，貽禍厥身，已歷歲時，未營窀兆，雖軫在原之念，宜從有國之規，且令中書門下商量葬禮。」尋據太常禮院伏奏：「請准唐貞觀中庶人承乾流死黔州，仍葬以公禮。」從之。第四子從璨為安重誨所陷，天成四年三月，責授房州司戶參軍，尋殺之。至長興四年七月，追贈太保，未封王。第五子從益，許王。長興四年五月封，至晋天福四年封郇國公，為二王後，奉唐帝祀。至開運三年，契丹犯京師，復封為許王，尋為番將蕭翰偽立為帝，知南朝軍國事。漢高祖入洛，遇害。

一、准六典，千牛備身及太子千牛，皆取三品已上諸司官、四品清官子孫，儀容端正，武藝可稱者補充。今請使二品、三品、四品清官䕃補。左右僕射、太子少師少傅少保、御史大夫、六行尚書、左右常侍、門下侍郎、中書侍郎、太子賓客、太常卿、宗正卿、左右丞、諸行侍郎、秘書監、國子祭酒、節度、統軍上將軍、金吾大將軍已上，並許補子為太子千牛。請使東宮三品、四品清官䕃補詹事。庶子請使北省二品、南省一品正官䕃補。侍中、中書令、太師、太傅、太保、太尉、司徒、司空、太子太師、太子太傅、太子太保已上，並許補孫。
