1  | 元馬端臨撰。因杜佑《通典》而廣之。以《通典》八門，析為一十有九，而增以經籍、帝系、封建、象緯、物異五門，共為二十四門。所述事跡，上承《通典》，下迄南宋寧宗。雖分條排纂，不能如《通典》之翦裁鎔鑄，成一家言。然上比佑不足，下比鄭樵有餘也。 |
| 1 | 宋王應麟撰。凡二十一類。本為詞科而作，故所列門目，率巨典鴻章，所錄故實，亦多吉祥善事，與他類書體例迥殊。又應麟博極群書，諳練掌故，徵引奧博，條理通貫。唐宋諸大類書中，杜佑《通典》可以抗行；馬端臨以下，皆非其敵也。舊附刻書十三種，惟《詞學指南》，原附書末，今仍存其舊，而其餘則別著錄焉。 |
