《耕織圖》原為中國南宋紹興年間的樓璹以詩配畫的方式紹耕織技術的著作。後世有多種摹本，例如元代的程棨摹本。明天順六年（1462）宋宗魯重刊本。後傳入日本，成為日本延寶四年（1676）狩野永納本的祖本，在日本美術界有很大影響。明代萬曆刊本。《便民圖纂》收載《耕織圖》三十一幅，更名「農務女紅圖」並將五言詩改為吳語竹枝詞。清朝康熙年間焦秉貞重繪了耕織圖。《雍正耕織圖》則是中國國家一級文物。
清朝乾隆帝把清漪園（頤和園）的一處富有田園風光的景色也命名為「耕織圖」。
